MEDICAL OZONE THERAPY

Ozone therapy as a treatment tool was discovered nearly 100 years ago in Germany and has then slowly passed onto different countries around the world. The application of ozone for treating & preventing chronic diseases is something that is now recognized worldwide. It is now a well-respected tool for cancer care, activation of immune system, inactivation of fungi, viruses, infections, treating osteoarthritis, enhancing oxygen metabolism, & for treating many other medical conditions. It works by releasing oxygen into the blood stream when applied externally, intravenously, rectally or vaginally.

Ozone (O3) is considered the most active state of oxygen because it is in an allotropic form of oxygen. Ozone, as a treatment tool is nearly applicable in all sorts of diseases because most diseases are linked with poor oxidation. The primary objective of using ozone is to restore oxidation in the human body. A sufficiency of oxygen for the blood means better blood, better circulation, better assimilation, better equilibrium of body temperature, better vasomotor activity, better digestion, better elimination of waste products, less chance of autointoxication or toxaemia, and less chance of infection and disease.

MECHANISM OF OZONE IN TREATING VARIOUS MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

1. CANCER
  • It’s well known that cancer cells are anaerobic or hypoxic (lacks oxygen) in nature & ozone helps in flooding these cells with oxygen which eventually makes a normoxic (adequate levels of oxygen) environment for the tumours. It is difficult for cancer cells to survive in such an environment.
  • Low lymphocyte levels in the blood gives cancer the opportunity to grow further & unfortunately cancer patients who have gone through rigorous cycles of chemotherapy have low lymphocytes. Ozone helps in inducing lymphocytes or WBCs which helps in alerting the immune system to act against the cancer cells.
  • The natural death of cancerous cells happens through a process known as “APOPTOSIS” which is what gets blocked in the case of a cancer patient. Ozone helps in inducing apoptosis which basically means reactivating a natural phenomenon which used to take place earlier.
  • Cancer patients generally also have a heavy toxic load in the body. For inducing detoxification, it is essential for the liver to be activated for the production of liver enzymes which aid in the process of detoxification.
  • Few of the circulatory cancer cells are killed by ozone and acts as an autovaccine.
  • Ozone infusions also induces an anti-oxidative effect which makes the cancer patient ready to deal with both the existing & further oxidative stress. The oxidative stress has been highly linked with the formation & progression of cancers. Production of anti-oxidant enzymes can cause rupture or hole in cancer cells.

Ozone is known for enhancing the production of interleukin-2 which is responsible for subsequent immunological reactions. Moreover, ozone helps in addressing various root causes of autoimmune conditions such as leaky gut, toxic exposure, and prolonged stress.

3. TREATMENT OF VIRAL DISEASES/INFECTIONS

Ozone holds the potential of disrupting the integrity of bacterial cell envelope via the oxidation of lipoproteins & phospholipids. For viruses, ozone induced peroxidation helps in damaging the viral capsid and disrupts the reproductive cycle of the virus to cell contact.
